Fairway Electric First in North America to be Certified by GE to Install WattsStations

Fairway Electric, a Vancouver based company, is working with GE Industrial Solutions to bring GE WattStation technology to Vancouver, the Lower Mainland and across BC.

Vancouver, British Columbia---October 12, 2011 Fairway Electric has positioned itself with G.E. (General Electric) to lead the industry in bringing electric vehicle charging stations to Western Canada. With the acceleration by the auto industry of introducing electrically charged vehicles to the market, Fairway Electric is the first company in North America to be certified by G.E. to install the charging stations essential to delivering electricity to the consumer and infrastructure to the community.

“This is a green initiative that is being embraced by the consumer” says Fairway Electric’s President Adam Levy. Vancouver has the opportunity to lead the way with the infrastructure to support the large scale deployment of electric vehicles. By being the first G.E. certified EV (Electric Vehicle)  charging station installer in North America, we plan on being at the forefront of this new technology.”

The company will continue to work closely with G.E. to ensure a smooth introduction of these state of the art devices across the lower mainland.
